Thermistor Stuck in Broken Hotend

I had a failed print that caused a ton of PLA to extrude up over the hotend and bent the nozzle. I ordered a replacement hotend and heater & thermistor. In the meantime, I have been trying to get the heater and thermistor off the old hotend in hopes they could be salvaged. I have been able to remove the heater, but the thermistor is stuck in the hotend and even when heated, I am not able to remove it. So I’m turning to the community to see if you have any ideas on how I might be able to remove my stuck thermistor.

I had a tip of the thermistor break off inside, just grabbed a thick needle and got it out.

Thanks for the advice, but unfortunately the hotend is bent, and I am just trying to salvage the thermistor and heater.

Hotend is the expensive part. You can buy a thermistor/heater assembly for just a few $$ on Amazon or from Bambu Labs. If you damaged the hotend, save yourself some aggravation and replace both. Thermal paste dries, so if you mean to save thermistors in the future, you may want to re-lube every 3-4 months.
