Thin top layer and bumps?

1 month in and love printing …

I went into variable height tab to get a smoother finsih on my curved piece … but now got this ( picture attached )

Any help please ?

This was before it was finished … showing all the bumps … but when it did finsih … you could see all the walls as the top layer was thin

Change to something other than grid infill. You can see the bumps at the intersections where there filament crosses itself in two directions on the same layer. I like gyroid infill, rectilinear would probably also work.
