So, I have a 1KG roll of unused old PLA that my A1 (and Aquila X2) does not like… even though it has been through two cycles of my fancy new SnapDryer… it is still brittle AF, and I was going to retire it as unusable for printing… but then I thought… what if you take it off the roll? Voila… it doesn’t keep snapping and is now usable for printing…
Yeah, I know, I could probably have then printed some sort of “mini spool”, fitted the external spool holder again, and used that… but that would take effort, plus at least if it breaks again now, it just ends up on the floor, rather than falling onto the printer bed…
Anyway, I thought this would give someone a chuckle over the stupid things we sometimes do…
