Thoughts on Amazon Basics PLA filament

Greetings, everyone.
Does anyone have any experience printing with Amazon Basics PLA filament range? They are considerably cheaper than Bambu Lab PLA basic (18 v 28 EUR/spool) and I’d like to start using them. Do they require any specific modifications of printing or slicing settings? Any information will be warmly appreciated.
Kind regards,
Bojan

Im happy with the filament - but the Amazon basics reels I have don’t fit into the AMS - so have had to be respooled.

Don’t get sucked into the filament hype. There is very little difference among the brand names. Buy on price not name. Then keep careful notes as to what you liked and didn’t like about the filament.

Among PLA filament in particular, you won’t find a lot of difference. Especially if you take the time to learn how to customize your filament profiles in the slicer. I’ve only been burned once by a bad PLA filament and the beauty of Amazon was that I got my money back.

In my opinion, Amazon basics filament way overpriced. Based on the similarities of their spool, I am guessing they source it from the same Chinese factory as Creality or Peakace which typically is 20-45% less expensive.

Where this is not true is for specialty filament such as Marble or stone-like filaments or rainbow filaments. Those fabricators are trying to differentiate themselves on features but for standard colors, price should be the deciding factor.

I’ve purchased from a few different companies and the spools look the same. Sunlu and a few of the other amazon companies. I think many are spooled at the same location in china and just tagged with different product names.
