Tips for Support for PA/PET?

I don’t think I like support for PA/PET lol. It’s fused to the part. I thought it would have peeled away easily.

Proper support material settings were used and filaments were dried @80°c for 16h.

Anyone got any tips? I was under the impression that I could use a 0 interface gap, do I need to increase that? May as well just use normal supports then.

Did you use tree supports?

I used snug standard support and ny default it had 0.2mm on the bottom interfacen and 0.0mm on the top.
The bottom side released perfectly, but the top didn’t.

Giving top 0.2mm clearance didn’t help either.

Might be that mine needs more drying.

I did. As for the settings, I let it auto fill in after I chose the support material as the interface.

Adding Z gap to the interface kind of defeats the purpose don’t ya think? May as well just not use the support material.

I don’t think it’s a drying thing. Mine was dried at 80°c for about 16 hours. It printed great. No oozing no blobs or anything. I almost feel like I could just print a whole object with it or use it as a second color haha.

Maybe this support material isn’t really meant for nylon and it’s meant more so for PET?

I understand that this support material needs to be bone dry. So I will go for a second try.

Yea it definitely needs to be dry.
