Whats everyone’s cutoff for laser? Im thinking up to 400-500 CAD I might grab it, any more and its a hard pass.
I think I’m going for the 10W laser regardless. $250 USD maybe my limit for the 40W, as I can always purchase later. I would want the kit already installed though on the printer from the start.
On other systems (XTool etc) the 40w is up to $1500 more than 10w, and its just the module thats different.

I’m definitely skipping in that case. It is more of a novelty/convenience thing to start, but I’d rather a dedicated laser machine, based on all the feedback here.

I’ll take the 10W for 200$, maybe the upgrade to 40W for 500$, depending how well stuff like ventilation works. If it doesn’t proper hardware for ventilation, those prices have to be lower, else I feel like maybe saving up for a separate laser cutter.
- All the people saying to be carefull with how nasty laser cutting is makes me less and less tempted to buy it.
and I skipped the laser. Too much for the added mess. Plus it was a pre-order.
