Hi people , Going to see a X1C this afternoon , With AMS unit and some filament
When it comes to technical things I will confess to being a complete numpty
If I do buy the unit ( 480 hours use ) it will be a huge learning curve for me
If I get to print something successfully I will have a massive smile on my face .
Time will tell
Have a good day everyone .

Good luck
480h is a young printer. But check that the Lidar is working and that VFA’s are acceptable. Those are two things that can not easily be addressed later on.
The Lidar can be tested as part of the self-test and calibration routines from the printer settings.
VFA’s are vertical lines on a printed wall with a pitch of 2mm on the X1 from the XY-belts. I am not aware of a printer that does not have that (no printers with herringbone belts to date that I am aware of), but some are worse than others. They are best seen on a straight wall using shiny material. Matte and filled materials hide them.
