Toolhead malfunction all the time

Hi there, maybe someone can help me with the issue „toolhead malfunction“. When I start some prints it always stop extrude the filament and print without filament. When I stop the print I got the message toolhead malfunction. I already unplug and reconnect both usb connector one hundred times. On the last try the clamp of the usb connector holder is broken.

But the greater problem is that the printer loose the connection to to toolhead in my opinion. Strange is when I touch the usb cable the printer shows the message too. I insert the connector correctly. Bambulab support didn’t reply to my ticket since the last 6 days.

I ordered a new usb cable from bambulab, did you mean that solve the problem or can I check why this error comes up all the time.

No one a idea how to fix this issue?
Support didn’t response and I have to decide to get in touch with PayPal. It’s to expensive for an useless decoration.

I have had the same problem since I bought the machine and for several days no response from Bambu after-sales service…
Has anyone figured out how to resolve the issue? (other than reconnecting the USB-C connections 100 times which did not resolve the problem)

I changed the usb cable, the filament sensor and the toolhead board. I ordered the usb cable cause of no response from Bambu. After a while the support refund me the cable and send me the spare parts.

First of all you should try the new usb cable. Order them from Bambu shop and give Bambu the order number they will refund you the 13€

I had the same problem. Also ordered new USB-C cable and that fixed it! But as we all know, it’s technically not allowed to use the printer ATM so that’s a shame.
If it blows up, the company has warned you and will take no responsibility for the device or the damage it has done to you so you’re using it on your own.

got a much simpler solution and that is that when you made the connections under the table you did not make sure the usb connection was fully connected. - that was the case with mine and all is working now.

Hey don62 thanks for the answer with “not fully connected usb” … in my case with the new a1 it was really slightly not in place after i assembled it. I already was thinking about sending it back to the seller cause its all new … but your answer was my first goal to solve an issue. thanks
