"Top Cover fell off"

Hi together,

Sadly the support doesn’t reply.

I have a problem with the magnet switch.

I can work around with a magnet in the top right. But that cannot be the solution.

I don’t know, is there below that magnet aside from the board that somehow interlocks there some kind of switch. It’s very hard to get the board below out of the housing. Is there a trick to it?

Has anybody an idea how to solve this?
Regards and thanks

Hi,

Do you mean the gray front housing assembly? If so, you might be able to adjust the wiring inside so it stays on. There is a clip that the wiring fits into so it does not obstruct the assembly.

Yes that’s meant.

Maybe I should have added, the obvious one. The cover does not fall of. So that’s not the problem.

Plus the Clip is on the wrong side of the wiring.

Regards

Hmmm…I’m confused. Maybe you could upload a pic of the magnet/wiring in question so we can help.

There is a troubleshooting in bambulab wiki.

I had the same. Then i saw my new lamp cable ripped of the front housing at homing action in the front right corner.so it was my vault

Okay thanks, this is sadly no help.As the article only covers the X1 series. I don’t know where the hall sensor of the P1S is located.

Same position as in the X1. Right of the topmost connector, behind the plastic post in which the magnet is.

Okay :ok_hand:, is there something to verify if it still works? Because it is not part of the board nor is it pinned to the board etc.

Its soldered onto the connector board:

Maybe there is a miscommunication. But your picture shows an X1 and as you can see in my picture plus in my text I have an P1S. It’s not there.

I have an P1P and had a look. It is there.

The second pic looks like the front cover is not sitting properly. i have noted the sensor is very sensitive. Even my manual cutting of filament (this was a long time ago before they made it easier to manually change colors) my thumb would barely touch it and I got an error. I just always reseated the front cover.

Jetzt in Google Translate Deutsch…

I understand now…you put an extra magnet on the upper right hence it not sitting properly. However, when you do that you say it works? I wonder if it still doesn’t seat properly even without the extra magnet. Mentioned above…I found the sensor super sensitive. Could the wires circled in Red on this pic cause the cover not to seat properly?

This seems to be the problem for me as well. How did you fix it? The cable’s already stuffed into the small canal as far as possible Xx
