Top layer doesn’t seem to print, leaving rough view of infill on top.
I am trying to print two half-bugles. While the prints themselves work. The top layer looks as if it isn’t being printed. This is a mesh I modified. I don’t know if this is just how it works, if there is a setting I am missing, or if there’s something else going on. New enough to 3D Printing, this may be something obvious. I appreciate the assistance.
I tested this issue with a cylinder exported from blender and had same issue. All other prints to this point have not had any issues like this.
Printing on P1P upgraded to P1S with the enclosure kit.
Here is the prepare view. Looks ok.
The preview where we can see the issue down the center of the bugle.
And here is the mesh in blender. I’ve subdivided it to give it a high resolution. That doesn’t seem to come through in Orca/Bambu Studio though. Not sure why or if that is normal. I’d think a higher triangle mesh would have better print resolution.
And finally, here are the prints of the cylinder and the bugle. Ignore the failed adhesion of the two center toruses. A model issue I now fixed in blender. You can see the center lines look just as the preview view said it would.
Anyone know why this is happening?
Again, thank you for any thoughts on what is causing this. I have a project I am modeling now which has a lot of toruses and cylinders in it and I am concerned how they may print if I have to do them flat like this.
