I tried to figure this out on my own-- i figured with all the different things to play with, i would eventually find out what works. But now, I have printed 50+ little cylinders and tweaked everything I can think of, layer height, line width, wall count, fan speeds, print speeds, top surface pattern… I just cannot get that line to go away at the same layer that the top surface(s) is(are) printed on the inside.
This is a very small sample of the 30mm test cylinders that I have been printing, and you can see the lines at 5mm from the bottom, with varying degrees of visibility.
The best graphical showing of this is by viewing the ‘Layer Time’ scheme after slicing, and why i started trying to fix this issue by slowing down the other layers to match. But the results weren’t much better than the original.
I was hoping that, with the number of 3d printed vases i have been seeing lately, someone already has the magic fix for this!
