Touch screen issue

Recieved my A1 last week. After assembly upon first power up the screen is unusable. The image is upsidedown, in reverse, and split by color. It also is not responsive to touch. I thought maybe the ribbon cable came loose during shipping so I removed it and reseated it but nothing changed. I have power cycled multiple times and no change. The unit is unusable. I tried the help chat but they just made me put in a ticket. Put in a ticket, no response. Anyone have this issue? Any solutions? How responsive is support? I searched for solutions on this forum and elsewhere and have found nothing. I’m a bit worried after reading review after review of people who are waiting extended periods of time for a resolution from Bambu Labs. Its extremely frustrating to spend this kind of money on a tool with all the accessories and materials needed for it to function only to be left with a non functioning unit and no help. Its only been a few days but all the negative reviews about support are not putting me at ease. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

It’s usually about a week before Bambu will respond.
They will ask for pictures & maybe a video.
Then about another week will pass.

I included the picture in this post in the ticket, hopefully that will speed things up. When i went with Bambu, due to their market share and following, I didn’t imagine their support would be so archaic and slow… thanks for the input though, that does give me some hope.

Thanks, i’ll try again. When I tried that last, they just instructed me to put in a ticket.

Hi, my bambulab A1 arrived today, and I’m having the same problem.
Did you find a solution

Had to replace the screen.

Having the same problem.
Did it really take them 20 days, for you to get a new display?
I’m really frustrated about it.

About 2 full weeks from the time the issue was initially reported until the replacement arrived. They didn’t give me any push back. I submitted what they asked for, and the part was sent out. The swap was simple and its up and running. It was a little frustrating but all is good now. Don’t know if your experience will be the same. The reviews are what had me worried. Seems like things either go really smooth or its a nightmare. Chat says it was damaged in shipping but I feel its more of a QC issue. The packaging was pristine and the ribbon cable was seated properly. I think it was shipped with a faulty screen from the get. Either way, its done now. Best of luck.

I got it for my Birthday and I was really looking forward to it.
So I’m pretty sad now.
Hope I get the replacement fast and I can enjoy my printer.

Same thing happened to me… I opened a ticket but it’s only been a day waiting… What can I expect Bambu to do in this situation? Thanks

I made sure all the info required was in my request, they got back to me in about a week. They didn’t put up a fight, just acknowledged the issue and let me know they were sending out a replacement screen. Got it about a week later and installed it.

What exactly was the problem? What did Bambu send you and how difficult was it to fix? Thanks

Faulty screen
A new screen
Easy

Unfortunately, I’m experiencing the same issue – this has been a really frustrating process.

I bought an A1 Combo at the beginning of March. During the first week of use (57 hours of printing), I started having heatbed malfunction problems.
I choose the advanced replacement Basically made a deposit to receive a new print and then when the bad one is returned I get back the money.

After 15 days the new printer arrived.
as soon I have turned on the printer ,I had the screen problem.

Its problems after problems.

What is the solution now ? Deposit more money for another advanced replacement ? and return two printers ? Customer should not be affected by this kind of problems which clearly are manufacturing problems.

Several posts had been made by the customers with exactly the same problems, it would expect that a printer that’s been on the market for almost two years wouldn’t still have these kinds of issues.

Swap the good screen from the one with the heatbed issue??
