TPU Assist firmware limitation

Have a nice setup with my X2D, two AMS 2 Pro’s and an AMS HT along with their filament track switch. I use the Pros for most of my common filaments and the HT for engineering filaments. Can use either the L or R extruder. However, I decided to add the TPU Assist module so I can also print with TPU 85A from my PolyTech Polydryer when I need to. It seems that the firmware disables the external spool when you have a track switch installed. It wants me to unplug the filament track switch before I can use the external spool. This is very hard for me as I have the cable management system installed and it’s almost impossible to get the 6-pin input to the switch unplugged. There needs to be a firmware fix to allow the external spool to be used when the track switch is not! The current situation is not acceptable.

+1 on this. I run a very similar setup and hit the exact same issue trying to use TPU from an external spool.

Having to physically disconnect the 6-pin cable especially with tight cable management is frustrating at best, and unplugging connectors repeatedly risks wear and tear on the ports over time.

This seems like something that could be resolved with a firmware update. A simple software lock to hold the track switch in its default position whenever the external spool is selected would completely fix this, no unplugging required.

Hopefully the Bambu team can consider this for a future firmware release!
