I just ordered the non-AMS TPU and dutifully read the wiki article about expansion of the TPU and the impact that expansion has on the spool.
Am I correct in that what takes place is that the spool sides will push outward as shown in this sketch I drew.
The spool itself is not prone to expansion and being two-piece the central drum with the molded in lock tabs is the strongest part of the spool in its entirety.
So the very expandable TPU is going to push outward and the spool sides, in profile, will appear concave?
