Transportation by car

Hi everyone,

I have a question about moving my 3D printers by car. Since I no longer have the original boxes and foam, what precautions should I take to protect the printers during transport.
The printers are a P1S and A1 mini.

If it’s sitting on a seat, just put the seatbelt around it so it doesn’t get thrown around when you corner or hit the brakes. If you’re sitting it on the floor of the car, a hunk of foam rubber for it to sit on would be good. But probably, if you avoid hitting any major potholes at speed, the suspension of the car is going to give you all the mechanical shock protection you need.

The packing materials for the printer are designed to protect it from the gorillas who will handle it as it makes its way from BBL to you. You’re going to use “kid gloves” to handle it when you transport it. It doesn’t really need the same level of protection.

MandicReally has a video about securing a printer for transport. It isn’t Bambu specific but some of the same concepts apply…
