Travel shows even when print by object?

its showing the travel movements even when i sliced the model print by object… i believe that this is due to the timelapse implemented in the slicer now meaby ??

It’s showing Travel moves because you have the Travel line type enabled. It has nothing to do with Timelapse (except, Timelapse will have travel moves, too).

i know its showing travel i did enabled it on purpuse… the issue is that its showing weird travel moves and i dont have timelapse enabled on the machine. its showing enabled in the slicer and it was not before. the goal is to see the travel moves in the slicer and not see the fake moves that its showing as its totally not moving in those directions when i send it to the printer !

What are “fake moves”?

All moves are required. Travel included. If it shows a move, it most definitely is doing what it shows. If it doesn’t seem to be doing that, you’re just not watching at the right time to see it do it.

omg… I am watching it all the way long… all the lines going back and forth to the back of the printer that you see the in travel moves! it is not doing them when it prints my friend

Of course it is. How does it get from one object to the other without travel moves? The slicer is displaying what the G-Code says to do. The only way a move could be displayed in the slicer and not executed by the printer is if there’s a bug in the slicer or printer software. Given this is a H2D, I guess “bug in the software” is the likely answer.

Try slicing with normal printing instead of at-a-time printing. Does it look different?

There has been a change to the slicer. You used to be able to tell the slicer not to use timelapse before you sliced the print. Now that option is gone and you have to turn it off after you select the print button. Now if you show travel, you see the path that the slicer would take for timelapse, it also calculates time for timelapse in the slicing window. If you turn the timelapse off when you send the print, the printer does not make the moves for the timelapse even though it shows them in the slicer. This drove me nuts until I figured out what it was doing. So this is a new “feature” also known as a BUG in the slicer. Hopefully they will change it back.

Well that certainly explains it.

I’m still on an older version of slicer and FW. Haven’t had a reason to upgrade, and recent updates seem to be having more than a normal number of issues, which has been a reason not to upgrade.
