Tree Supports with cracks

I see these cracks in some tree supports once in awhile and was wondering what causes it or what to look for? The print jobs all complete just fine. Could it be that I print a lot of my models with the ‘extra fine’ setting to get the best detail possible affecting the supports?

I’m not sure I understand your concern with supports. If the model is printing ok, what does it matter about the support? It’s support and is typically recycled or thrown in the trash. If you really want to see something ugly, throw in some interface filament too.

Edit: Oh yeah, what type of filament are you using for the model and support? The same, different? Could be too cold in the chamber.

Yeah it’s not a problem since the models print okay. Was just wondering why it does that it does that with the tree supports. It’s not all the time either. I kicked that off early this job off early this morning. Maybe it is cool in the chamber with the ac on.

You can really see it in this photo. And it’s only on that one tree support in the front.
