Trouble getting good results with PLA-CF on a P1S

Thanks for the reply and checking through the settings. Its all helpful, atleast now I feel more confident I’m not doing something wrong.
Just printed something in PLA with the same 0.4 hardened steel nozzle, not the same test, no overhangs, but came out perfect. So the printer appears to be fine. Which leaves settings or material. We are confident the settings are good. So could be a bad roll of filiment, or I didn’t dry it as well as it could be.
The SunLu S4 drier has just arrived. So the filiment is having a session in there. Perhaps drying in the printer never got to the correct temperature.

The filiment went in the SunLu S4 for 5 hours set to 50C. Was going to go for 6, but wanted to leave an hour to print a Benchy before the end of the day.

Filiment straight out of the dryer and into the AMS. Probably around 10mins gap before starting to print the 40min Benchy.

Well results are in…
Before drying is on the left, after drying in the S4 is on the right.

So it appears to have been a drying issue all along. I cant have dried it very well in the printer. The S4 does seem to give a good heat, blowing around in there.

I’m very happy with the results.

Thanks for all your patience along my learning experience.

Hopefully this thread will help others too.
