Troubleshooting lifting off of print bed?

I’ve owned my A1 mini since early December, so apologies if this is a basic problem. I’ve searched without much luck. I’m encountering a problem where the object I’m printing sort of collapses and lifts off of the print bed. I’ve tried printing it twice and the problem has happened both times. I saw that it could be due to a draft, so I have covered any potential sources of a draft. I’m feeling really lost and if anyone has any ideas, I’d appreciate it. Thank you.

I am not sure if I have understood the problem description correctly. Is the problem that your object is detaching from the print bed? If so, make sure that the print bed is clean (clean with soap or isopropanol) and at the same time make sure that the print bed temperature is set correctly and corresponds to what the filament manufacturer recommends. You can also increase the temperature by 5-10 degrees as a test and see if it improves.

Yes that’s correct, it seems to be lifting off of the bed. I washed with dish soap a few days ago and I use isopropanol after every print. I’ll try increasing the temperature and see if that helps. I’ve just been using the default settings for PLA (which is what I’m printing with).

All right. I’m very curious to see if that solves your problem. Another possible option would be that the first layer is printed too quickly and therefore does not sticks well.

What you’re seeing is normally caused by a contaminated build plate. You mentioned cleaning your plate but I suggest you give it another really good scrub. Don’t use IPA afterwards.

You can also print a one layer thick square the size of your print bed and that will often show you where your adhesion problems are.

Once you are sure you can rule out contaminates on the bed I would suggest trying this

  • up your bed temperature 5-10c
  • Add a brim with 0 object-brim gap.
  • use less walls as this can cause part warping.
