So I had to re-pair my printer with Bambu Handy to get anything working, did this by scanning the QR code on the printer screen. All was good and Handy can see the printer and AMS contents once again.
Now I go to do the same thing in Bambu Studio, this time it asks for a 6-digit access code which it assures me is shown on the account tab on the printer screen. This code isn’t shown there, only the QR code used to connect with the Handy app.
Studio has gotten a little ahead of firmware revisions for the X1C, which does not yet provide PIN codes, so there is no 6 digit code available for these printers.
If Handy sees your printer, the printer is already bound to your account.
From the Studio home screen, log out
Click Login/register; log out again.
Click Login/register; enter your Bambu account email/password in this window.
Okay anyone else having this problem, I had to factory reset the printer, redo the Bambu Handy re-pair, and then log out/in of Studio and it all worked.
Wonder why such hassle of re-linking stuff? This usually happens when companies want to enable new features. Whether that’s for us or them I’m not sure…
Do you have anything relevant stored in the printer that would be hard to replace? E.g. large amount of filament k-values.
If not, reset it to factory definitions and start the config as a new printer.
If possible, it is likely to be easier than trying to recover from uncommon issues.
Edit: mine is also working as usual. I didnt find the need to do any intervention.
Sorry. I read it two times before answering but somehow missed it.
You may retry to install the Studio app.
Or check if the issue persists with Orca.
I am lost in what else can be wrong.
Once paired with Handy you could have just logged out of Studio and then back in.
As someone said, it was bound. Studio was the hiccup, and usually logging out and in is the fix.
Regardless if you’ve fixed it or not, rather rude to chide someone who is trying to help you.
With this second alert, I knew that something was wrong.
I may be tired, but not enough to miss everything.
I was using a tablet that, for some reason, doesn’t show some replies or lines when scrolling.
I still can’t see it on the tablet and don’t understand why.
But I could read the whole topic on the PC.
Sorry for the confusion.
You’re picking out select out of context cuts for moral grandstanding? I don’t get it. Have you thought about your post to me being factually incorrect because you didn’t read the thread properly? We’ll just let that slide shall we? It seems like many here want that solution credit more than actually reading the full story. So many times people just reply with their head in the sand because they want to be the one with the most knowledge. Really sad tbh.
I guess I’m getting a little frustrated today. I see folks asking for help and getting snippy when someone is trying. Not to seem like they know it all, but out a genuine desire to help someone out.
Yes, some will miss a post, or that someone found the solution, but that isn’t a reason to dismiss them. Seems like more and more people are attempting to help and they get shut down. Kinda kills the desire.
Can they be wrong? Yep. I am all the time. If someone doesn’t want to accept the answer then they can pass by it, or “thanks but that’s not it”.
I don’t want to be superior in any wayt shape or form. I don’t want to be right all the time either. Just searching for a little decency.
This isn’t the only post. Maybe I am taking it out on you, so I do apologize. Just searching for some decency today.
