I would like to know if bambu filament on-the-spool comes with the same type of re-usable spool that is sold on its own, or if it just comes with a “throw-away” type??
Reusable. There are two types of spool that differ in temperature tolerance for drying.

Its cheaper if you buy the refill (without the spool)
I printed a few spool assemblies from the internal memory and use them when I purchase a spool of filament made out of cardboard or a refill from Bambu
I just wrap the filament tightly with regular masking tape, rip the cardboard sides and center portion off, lock the printed spool around the filament and remove the tape
Sometimes the center of the filament is larger than the spool, in that case I just wrap masking tape around the center portion of the printed spool until its a nice tight fit with the filament before putting the 2 halfs together and twist locking it together
If you prefer to just buy the filament with the spool all of the spools come apart for refills
Thanks folks, that is what I was looking for. I just want a few more of those re-usable spools, and since it’s a bit cheaper to buy with filament, I will do that.
