Ugly layers from one day to the other

I used my X1C not for 2 weeks. Yesterday I had a print and my layers are so bad and I dont know why…

I used my saved profile which I used for the last print and it looks like this:

Then…

  • Changed Nozzle
  • Changed build plate
  • Cleaned plate many times
  • Dried the Filament (PAHT-CF) for 5h
  • Cleaned rods (again)
  • Checked belt tension
  • Re-calibrated the Filament PA
  • Re-calibrated for flow
  • Downgraded FW

And it looks like this

Something is wrong. Underextrusion and the heaxagons looks so bad…

Any ideas? I dont have any…

Possibly moisture in the filament.
Was the filament loaded and exposed to air during the two weeks of no use?
What is the humidity where the printer is located?

Its fully dried. and it was vacuum sealed during the two weeks. And I have ~30-40% humidity.

Have you tried printing with a different material? This would help you determine if it is printer or filament related.
Every now and then my x1c will go crazy and print weird. I run the calibration and it is fine. I know when because it sounds loud and clunky when it changes direction at the end of a line. Recalibrate and it is fine, it is as if it forgets the correct linear advance settings once every 3 months. You may have the same problem, did you rerun the calibration on the printer?

No. Because I have to make that Part with PA-CF

Yes. 3 times. The first time after the FW downgrade, s second time after the re-upgrade and a third time after the factory reset.

EDIT: Same issue with my calibrated PETG profile. Same weird pattern. But this time I printed this not in the middle of the bead, instead it was at the front. So Its no a problem of the printbed

EDIT2:

Changed the extruder gear set AND nozzle (factory new and unused 0.4mm) and print plate - it looks like this :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

Please keep inind I’m very new to 3d printing.

What size is your nozzle? This looks like a partially clogged nozzle.

You could try a cold pull or other methods to clean etc… I’d suggest googling some videos etc… Or search this forum, tons of posts and solutions to a clogged or partially clogged nozzle.

Maybe another issue altogether, just based on my limited experience and knowledge, his could be the issue.

@I_Anthony

I quote myself

Just my two cents. Again, keep in mind I’ve got like 3 months experience.

0.4 is to small for CF. I’ve clogged two with just CF-PLA at 0.4. so, it’s possible the new nozzle is clogged already.

Again, it could be other issues, and I hope you find the issue so you can get the printer up and running properly.

Make sure your sheet profile in the slicer is set correctly for the sheet you’re using. It looks like the nozzle is too close to the bed, or the first layer line width is too great.

I print on PEI and PEI is selected

It looks like yes. But I dont know how to fix this on the bambu - because of the close source

I changed the nozze - again. I use now the China clone hotend with a new 0.4 NON CHT nozzle.

This is the current state in the Flow Calibration:

Its the -20 Part and the first layer looks good so far - very strange. Because the Original 0.4 nozzle I used yesterday was also new and unused.

Still not perfect but much much better than yesterday
