UI Suggestion: Add content editable header to collections plus sorting

I have a number of designs that include many models each uploaded as a separate entity, but, inherently joined as a group.

The Collection feature is a great way to achieve the list element of my needs, however, it lacks at least a couple of features that would greatly improve its use.

Problem 1
Using my App Icon coasters as a suitable example, there are more than 30 designs that are wholly unsuitable as unique profiles in a single design, so, they are each added to a collection with each upload referencing the collection.

When people go to that collection they only see a list of uploads and nothing about the purpose of the collection.

Problem 2
Adding uploads overtime means the order of their appearance is based on the addition date.

Not being able to choose the order new entries are shown in is limiting from a presentation perspective.

Problem 3
Letting people know new entries have been added to the collection means they have to constantly review designers they hopefully follow or look at every new upload to spot one they are after.

Features requested

  • Content editable header area for each collection to allow ‘marketing’ content to be added to introduce the collections purpose to prospective downloads.
  • Designers ability to order the entries within their own collection.
  • Allow users to subscribe to any public collection and if they choose, receive an alert of a new entry being added.

Let me know your thoughts on my problems and feature requests and if you have any other thoughts on the grouping of uploads and how to make them more accessible and relevant to users.
