Hi everyone, I’m running into an issue and I don’t really understand what is happening. When I try to add a new filament in my list by clicking on the gear icon in BambuStudio (first picture), there’s nothin on the pop-up window that appears. It’s just empty (second picture). I can only create a custom filament from the editor (third picture) but I would like to use some presets from Bambu Lab instead.
I found a workaround using the android app, there I can choose the filament loaded in the printer from a large list of vendors and material type, and BambuStudio updates according to my choice.
I looked everywhere in the forum but couldn’t find a similar issue. For info it never worked for me, I’ve never been able to make it work since I got my printer. And I tried to uninstall/reinstall, check my firewall…
I also tried to relaunch the installation wizard and I can select my A1, with all the nozzles available for it. But when I reach the filament windows, same problem : the window is empty
Bambu Studio has a bug and sometimes the printer and/or the filament selection dialogs are empty.
Close Bambu Studio and go to:
C:\Program Files\Bambu Studio\plugin
and execute as administrator the file “MicrosoftEdgeWebView2Runtime InstallerX64.exe”.
Then restart Bambu Studio and try again. Sometimes a reboot is needed.
This is a temporary patch, the dialog will be empty again in the future and you may re-run that installer again.
My A1 Lab Mini is having the same issue. Did try Flatpak edition of Bamabu, and the AppImage package, with same resets, where there is nothing to select from.
Not sure how often this still happens. I had this recently crop up on Fedora Cinnamon Flatpak 2.7.1.57. I found that the top two filament slot pull downs were blank. Editing the filament in each slot made it all normal again. Hope that might help someone.
