Unable to connect Bambu Handy phone app to printer

My X1C and my phone are on the same network. When I try to find the printer from the Bambu Handy app on my phone, it cannot find the printer. It then says to scan a QR code, but I cannot find a QR code anywhere. How about a hint as to where the QR code might be found?

Jon

It’s kind of hidden, sign out of your account via the display and a QR code will display to link with your handy app and log you in.

Thank you! Sign out of my account on Bambu Studio, on the Bambu X1C, or on Bambu Handy?

On the X1C. (20 characters)

Thanks! The QR code worked perfectly. The WiFi did not work at all. Is there a troubleshooting guide for the WiFi network? I can confirm that both the phone and the printer are on the same WiFi network (Amplifi). I cannot see the printer in the router device list, but I have no idea what the printer might look like. Could any settings in the printer defeat the WiFi network connection?

Thanks again!

Jon

Looking at the router control software, the printer is connected (I can see the MAC address, the red arrow below). It is a 2.4 GHz connection, so that is not the issue. “3D Printers” may be a web expansion device.

So is the 2.4GHz going thru the 5GHz? If so setup an additional SSID just for 2.4GHz. Its in the troubleshooting guidelines of your hardware online.

I configured a 2.4 GHz SSID and have confirmed that both my phone and the printer are on the same 2.4 GHz network. When I display the QR code on the printer, the phone accepts it. The message “Login Device Success” appears, but I still see “No Devices Found” and Bambu Handy is not connected to the printer.

Here is the current connectivity map:

I know this sounds inconvenient but try clearing cache and data. Then try with all new info. Or uninstall the app and reinstall. Just reaching for different ideas.

Uninstalling Bambu Handy and reinstalling Bambu Handy worked immediately. Quite a slog, but thank you for your help.

Printer in LAN but would fail connection. Tried disabling VPN client, firewall, using phone as hot spot-internet connection via ATT, creating a virtual LAN. etc. Upgraded firmware and worked. 4 hrs of hair pulling.

So on my P1P printer I cannot get it to connect to Bambu Labs I would scan the QR code and it said unsupported link, and so I tried downloading a file off a computer and putting it into my 3D printer chip. The first time it worked it went into the chip but it wouldn’t print, we thought it might have been because the file was 3mf so we changed it to a goode file, but that time it wouldn’t even get the file onto the chip.

I am unable to create an account when I go to the Handy app. It asks for 11 digits for a phone number, but I never get a verification code. Is there a trick to entering my phone number? Apparently the only way to get a PIN to bind my A1 to my slicer is to use the Handy app, but I can’t even log into it. Help!
