Thank you for pointing that out! I have been trying to connect to my router, and setting up a guest netwotk without any special characters finally let me connect my A1 to my WiFi Network!

This response probably isn’t much help due to you expressing you dont use 5gz but I had a similar issue and found I had to split my wifi into 2.5 and 5gz. I then connected the printer to the 2.5gz and was able to use it normally. I could make the split through the internet companies website/profile.

I am trying to connect a P1S to the guest network in my wife’s elementary school classroom. So far I’ve had no success. I plan to try the SD card approach. The school guest net work does not use a password. Will the SD card method work if the password field is left blank?
This helped. I changed my wifi settings to separate 2.4 and 5 and the A1 connected without problem.

For anyone out there after going through my recommended settings, still having trouble to connect.
- You are not alone. Even I have connection issues from time to time.
- How do you fix it? Welp…
My current solution is… Turn the printer off and on and wait (give it about 15-30 minutes) and pray… Yep… If it doesn’t work? Try again, and again… Yeah, I know. It’s not the best ideal solution to a problem like this. When you just want to print something and your printer isn’t connecting can be really frustrating.
(Note: The printer will connect to WiFi after power cycle but I have rarely seen it connect right after powering back on. Usually there’s a wait time around at least 15-30 minutes…)
The other thing I do is, just export the file to a microSD card and do the print from there. But, I don’t think AMS work super well with that. So in those times, I am only doing single color/material prints. If you do have an AMS, I’d also only have that specific material / color in the AMS to avoid printer confusion.
I really wish Bambu have included a better WiFi chip or a Ethernet port.

yeah sadly it is the P1S… Even after I have done all my settings listed above, I still have problems connecting from time to time. So 1. I basically leaves the printer on… 2. In case the printer is somehow powered off and it have its connection problems, I will have to play a game called “Can you connect?”. Basically, power cycle and wait (15-30 minutes).

i don’ know if it can help you but i’ve juste receive my x1c and i have the same issue. I’ve tried a lot of different paramters on my wifi but nothing change.
I’ve found on reddit a solution :
- remove dynamic ip on my router and apply a static IP on the @MAC
- 2.4 GZ and 5 Gz activated
- WPA2n activated.
Everything seems OK
As I cannot start a new post I found out something rather interesting with my personal network that may assist others. I use VZW 5G home. There’s the ‘cube’ that recieves the cellular signal which has 2 ports only. Port 1 is standard use going out to a device like a router and port 2 is for when you have your ‘cube’ setup to pass through all settings to your router. Think of it like the network doesn’t understand there’s a “cube” and it’s only your router. This does a couple of things, but mainly hoses up some devices’ connectivity including a Bambulab product. I couldn’t connect to my Nighthawk which was on passthrough from the ‘cube.’ As soon as I swapped back to port 1 and turned off passthrough on the ‘cube’ it connected with no issues. I hope this helps others as it can be frustrating.
I had connection issues with my P1S. I found that when my win11 computer is overloaded with tasks it struggles to connect. In my case I changed the drive to SSD and it connects right away. I did not change any settings. It was a drastic change.
I’ve had intermittent Wi-Fi issues since I got my P1S a year ago. Two weeks ago, I opened a ticket (actually, I replied to an old ticket to re-open it) when I was having connection issues every time I turned it on. I sent updated logs using Bambu Handy, and someone responded quickly, saying there were some irregularities in my Wi-Fi signal. They offered to send a new Wi-Fi antenna, but asked me to check the old one for cosmetic issues. (Not as easy as it sounds. It took an hour or more to get the front cover off the first time.) It turns out there was a break in the insulation of the lead wire. They sent a replacement, and I haven’t had trouble connecting since I installed it a week ago. I haven’t really stress-tested it, but I’ve left it on to see if it stays connected, and I haven’t found it offline once.

I wanted to add: as a last resort, you can try setting up internet connection sharing from your computer. Both Windows and MacOS should have this functionality where it creates a hotspot from your computer.
I tried all the different suggestions that worked for others but my A1 mini simply refused to connect to my router. I knew that it wasn’t an issue with the printer since the A1 mini connected to my phone’s hotspot. Since my Mac mini is connected via ethernet, I tried the Internet Sharing and my printer finally connected to the Mac mini hotspot with no issues. I don’t know if this works if you’re using wifi to connect to your router in the first place, but at least there’s another option available that may work for you.

Hi all, I was just pulling my hair out trying to set up a new p1s and it would not connect to WiFi for love nor money though the app on my phone untill I logged into my account on my laptop and then it did it first try.
Just thought i would put it out there incase someone else is stuck in the loop of trying it then restarting everything when the error message appears.
Thank you so much for sharing what worked for you. Your post helped me fix my connection issues. I was going insane knowing I was inputting the correct password for my network but it wouldn’t find it when everything else could find the router. Go figure. Thank you!

Thanks! I am glad this information is helpful to people experiencing the same problem as I have been. Occasionally, I still run into the 0.0.0.0 IP address problem with all the fixes I have implemented. A few power cycles usually fixes it.
Thanks for the replies. Apparently my ISP had changed my router settings to only use WPA2. So after I’ve deleted my device from the bambu labs handy app, I was able to reconnect.
Good tips… My Asus router was set to WPA2/WPA3 Personal… The printer HAD been working just fine, but it keeps randomly losing its connection, and then can’t re-connect to the network… I’m going to give some of these a try (starting with the WPA/WPA2 suggestion.
I had the same problem yesterday. My problem turned up to be simple: I had the channel on the ASUS router on auto, and it had taken channel 13. When I changed that to channel 11 the problem was solved.

For the benefit of anyone coming to this thread as I did - here’s another thing that kills the Bambu wi-fi connectivity. My router wireless option allow selecting “wpa-psk”, “wpa2-psk”, or “Auto”. It’s always been set to Auto but in troubleshooting a different wi-fi problem I set it to wpa-psk and while other devices continued to work fine - it broke the Bambu P1S’s wi-fi. Reset to Auto the wi-fi configuration went perfectly and I’m up printing again.
