My graphics card is updated and showing OpenGL version 4.6 but I can’t install Studio because it keeps giving me an error message that says Application cannot run because OpenGL version is lower than 2.0. I’ve reinstalled graphics card drivers multiple times, restarted multiple times, installed and uninstalled Bambu Studio multiple times and keep getting the same error message. I simply cannot install it. Can anyone help?
You must know the drill by now. What’s the graphics card and what version of the drivers are you running. It’s hard to help with the information you just provided.
Here’s a link to a tutorial of how to verify which version of OpenGL you’re running. If you’re running a very old graphics card or if you have the onboard GPU functions enabled on your CPU, that could interfere. But again, hard to say without complete system information.
Alternatively, if you just want to ensure that you have clean drivers, first download the driver package from the maker of your GPU and save it to a place where you can find it. Second, run the 3DGuru DDU utility which will wipe all vestiges of video device drivers from your system. Reboot and then navigate to the folder where you downloaded your latest device drivers and start the process all over.
Note: If you system or GPU is really, really and I mean really old, it may not support all the functions of 4.6 and the Bambu Software is just too stupid to report the correct diagnostic, a long shot I agree, but a possibility. In that case, you may want to try rolling back to a previous version of Bambu Studio or Orca although I would be surprised if they worked.
Hi all,
I have a Asus surface, it has a adreno x1-45 asus qualcomm graphics card, now it seems like opengl is not in the drivers, is there any workaround?
i just had this problem as well, looks like it wont work now with RDP??? this SERIOUSLY messes with remote functionality in Studio
Same problem here, I tried reverting to the previous version, same issue. I reverted two versions and it wont even run. Im not a software guy, but ill keep trying.
