Uncredited Remixes using the same titles to confuse downloaders

So something I’ve seen a lot of with some of my models, is others using the same title and posting a remix, and sometimes a blatant re-upload of mine to steal points. The re-uploads, I’ve had all taken down with reports. They’re probably the easiest for MW to deem problematic when the CAD is obviously the same. But what about stealing a title?

We can’t copyright or trademark titles as far as I know here on MakerWorld, but it just seems so scummy, so shady, so gross.

When I posted my SPILLPROOF AMS Desiccant boxes, they were specifically designed to solve a problem that all others I tried had: they would fall apart when inserting or removing and spill desiccant beads. Since I’ve posted these almost a year ago, there’s been MANY remixes, as there should be and each of these usually adds their own innovation and features, just as I did. But None of these people remixing mine called theirs Spillproof (except 2 or 3 who created completely different sizes for different purposes and gave full remix credit as well as description credit.) I’m talking about people using the name SPILLPROOF with a similar design that has a small change, and today I saw a guy post a set called “SPILLPROOF V2” using a lot of the verbiage I used in mine, but the design has rounded corners.

Am I justified in feeling disrespected when they marked this as Standard License, offer a commercial license for them, don’t give remix credit, and don’t mention the original SPILLPROOF set in their description? Maybe it’s because they have a whole speech about how they always respect licenses and then go and do this.

Thoughts?

Did he take it down? This is the only one I can find.

it’s a different model but he renamed it and went further and explained how he designed them himself, all good.
