- Detailed description of the problem
I’m printing a 240x240 mm sheet. It’s part of a larger structure, but the rest is ok.
I am getting unwanted texture in the middle of the sheet;the edges are fine.
Does anyone know what this is?
P1S
0.2 mm standard settings, with variable layer height. The flat plate starts at 0.2 mm layer height for about 9 layers and then transitions to 0.08 for about 5 layers.

Will add as necessary.
Wash the plate well, and re-run a full bed leveling routine. I don’t think is just about the plate contaminants, but it easy to do and removes a variable. My guess is the bed level is a little out of spec. Also, ensure the magnetic plate doesn’t have a contaminant on it (pull the bed plate off and wipe down the magnetic layer), and confirm there is no odd bulging.
Is the sheet you are making supposed to have a texture, but the texture gets out of whack?
The picture shows a texture that looks like maybe a convex/concave region in that area. Even the bad area has a pattern and is somewhat circular. Not skilled enough to know how a concave or convex heat plate effects a textured print although it seems reasonable that if the flat base the dimples rise above is varying, the creation of the dimples will be impacted.
Lower left. Seems like this is what is supposed to be printed.
Thanks for your input. I’ll start experimenting.
