I am running firmware 01.05.01.00. Is it safe (and worth the risk) updating to the latest release?
I read some posts that people had connection problems afterwards and print quality problems?
I just got my P1S last week (had to convince the better half that the other machines weren’t enough lol) and it updated to the latest version on setup. Knock on wood, I haven’t had any issues, at least none attributable to the firmware, just my stupidity!
You can look at this 2 ways.
If it isn’t broke don’t fix it. There are no security issues with the current or new firmware, so nothing is pressing you to update.
If you do update, you can downgrade. Use the handy app to revert to previous firmware if you’d like to try it out and see for yourself.
Lastly (more than 2 I guess) look at the change log. You can view it somewhere around here I think, or choose the device tab in Studio and choose update. To the right you’ll see what to do.
