Quick note - I had the same issue. I can create custom filaments and they exist in Studio but not on the printer.
From all the research - the situation is as follows:
- You must be in Cloud mode. Not LAN mode.
- Auto-Sync User Presets must be enabled in Studio preferences
- Studio sync’s filament presets with the Cloud.
- The printer is supposed to sync filament presets with the Cloud as well - but IT DOESN’T
Solution (that worked for me):
-
Disconnect the printer from your user-account
(a) on the printer console, go to settings (hexagon “nut” icon)
(b) click on account
(c) click on log-out (select YES when prompted, to confirm the action)
(d) check on bambu-handy app, under devices, that your printer is no longer there -
Reconnect the printer to your user-account
(a) on the printer console, after you log-out, a QR code will pop up automatically
(b) on the bambu-handy app, under devices, you will see a button “+ Bind Printer”: select it
(c) scan the QR code on the printer display
(d) printer will appear, and a button “Confirm To Bind”
You’re done!
if binding was not successful, repeat steps 2 (a)-(d)
Let me know if this doesn’t work. It solved the problem for me, and now I can see all my custom filament profiles on the printer display, as well as select them from the Device tab in Studio.
I did this yesterday, and today it’s still working fine!
