They pushed out an update to 01.08.00.00, 01.08. to 01.08.01.00 which I noticed and updated to yesterday.
Probably reasonable to assume .01.08.01 was in response to bugs in 01.08.00.
Have you tried remapping your AMS units? I never had any issues printing with 01.08.00 but did have issues with the AMS mapping for sure. I went through a big gyration of powering down my AMS (3 total), reloading each spool, powering everything back up which cleaned up most of the issue. One slot I did end up having to manually remap one slot.
It was while doing that, that I noticed the firmware update available message and once all my AMS looked okay I did the firmware update.
