01.06.01.00 to be precise…
After the update, I ran the calibration suggested by the printer on the display, and everything started working right away
Upgraded to 01.08.00.00 and ran a few prints. What really annoys me is the five-second loud droning, vibrating noise, which I previously encountered only during calibration. Does anyone know exactly what it does?
Tested rolling back to 01.07.00.00, which went just fine via the Handy app. I’m just wondering if it’s possible to disable the nagging message on the P1S screen asking me to upgrade to the newer version?
You saved me, I had the same issue!
Same thing happened to me. Update Bambu studio
While that does resolve it, I have no intention of ever using Bambu Studio, as OrcaSlicer is my preferred choice. Plenty of others are in the same boat, so I want them to be aware.
WARNING!!! DO NOT UPDATE TO THE NEW FIRMWARE VERSION.
The new firmware version has a bug where the printer will remain on “bed heating” after it has reached the desired temperature.
I was able to use the Bambi handy app to download the previous version and the issue has been resolved. Currently working in reporting it to BambuLab.
Instructions to download previous firmware:
On the bambu handy app. Click on the three horizontal lines on the top corner on the “Devices” page.
Click on “Firmware Version” and then, click on “I want to downgrade to a previous version “
Select version “01.07.00.00”
Hope this helps!
After reading some of the posts, it seems like the issue only happens with OrcaSlicer. Might need to stay on the current version since I only use Orca
Found the issue, There was some broken filament stuck in the PTFE tube under the filament rolls, make sure to check if there is any in there and it works fine after
The new firmware works fine for mine, I wanted to try ouit the drying function because thats why i bought the AMS 2 pro over just the AMS, but was dissapointed that it took this long to get the function to use it. My filament is about to finish drying after being on overnight. Ill try a test print when its done and see if there is anything wrong with printing
Any verification Panada Touch or xTouch still works on this new firmware still?
Same problem here, same resolution.
There’s a change coming to Orca that will allow you to deselect the legacy network plugin to get Orca to work with this new firmware: PoC: Support latest BambuLab P/X/A firmwares by Noisyfox · Pull Request #9517 · SoftFever/OrcaSlicer · GitHub
xtouch only does lan mode, waitinf ro them to fix ams mapping.
panda touch works on cloud and a fix for ams mapping is already out iirc read more here P1S new firmware version 01.08.00.00 released - Safe to update? · Issue #297 · bigtreetech/PandaTouch · GitHub
same i just got an ams ht. and now i heard a lot of rumors about 1.0.8 bugs.
but some are mostly caused by orca etc. so tad bit confusing.
Tho the only thing i kept getting is
which is totally not present in older firmwares
I have yet to have any software bugs, every problem so far has been physical and easy to fix once i had spotted why it was happening.
I upgraded my the firmware to 01.08.00.00 on my P1S with AMS yesterday. (direct on bambu screen) then had problem printing anything. After reboot and restarts print would stop after heating up. I went to external spool and managed to print. So I think problem with AMS.
Today I updated my Studio software from ver 1.10.0.89 to V 2.0.2.57 and to seems to be working with the AMS.
P1P upgraded P1S w/ FW 1.08 w/ 2 AMS’s both on 1.06.62
LAN Mode only w/ Orca 2.3.0
printing like ever before
working with Panda Touch w/ FW 1.0.7.1
I got rid of xtouch (2.8) in favour of Panda tbh
I have the smaller xtouch screens on my P series printers as I use my panda touch for when im not by them (remotely from desk). I think the 2.8 xtouch screen was little more responsive and less clunky feeling (obviously less control) for just quick viewing and moving the print head when i was next to the printer. I just didnt want to adjust my workflow as i have it setup. I’m still on Cloud as I want to retain use with Bambu Handy. I’ve heard its confirmed Panda Touch works still with this new firmware even still on cloud mode so i dunno why anything would change for xtouch as well.
