Upgrade / Downgrade Version Inquiry

I’ve been holding out on FW v01.08.02.00 on my X1C after all the hub-bub with the “security” mess. I’ve been quite happy in LAN-only mode. However, I’m considering updating to 01.10.00.00 now that they have the developer mode. And I figured I could downgrade back if I didn’t like the new FW. However… conspicuously FW v01.08.02.00 is NOT listed in the downgrade list! So, I guess I would choose FW v01.08.00.00?

I’m a bit confused. If you are still using 1.08.02.00, why would you expect to find it on a list of previous versions?

Your screenshot shows 1.08.03.02 beta as a previous version, so are you in the beta testing program and using a version even newer than that?

Regardless, I believe you can change your firmware offline to any released version back to 1.08.02.00 via SDcard.

I had not considered that it would not list the FW that I am actually running. I guess it makes sense that it would not.
I have the FW v01.08.02.00 saved already. So, I guess I can try to upgrade and hope for the best using the SD card offline method.
I have trust issues with bambu these days after all the drama around “Authorization Control”.

So do I.

At the moment, I am perfectly satisfied with my X1C running 1.08.02.00 firmware. Newer firmware does not offer any features I want or need. I’ve lost faith in Bambu since it is steadfastly refusing to listen to customer wishes regarding authorization and other matters, so it is very unlikely I will be purchasing any additional Bambu products.

I’m willing to try the developer mode to see if it has anything I would like to use. I only have one month left on my warranty. But I wanted to be able to go back to what works if the developer mode doesn’t have any use for me.
