I’ve had my P1S for a month or so, so I’m very new to Bambu. They say it’s recommended to upgrade the hot end and extruder gear to print abrasives.
My friend question is, on the website, there’s one hotend called “Complete Hotend” for $35 and one just called “Hotend” for $15.
Would anyone mind telling me whether I need to order the Complete Hotend for $35, or the Hotend for $15, to print Carbon Fiber, ABS, Nylon, etc.?

Complete hotends include the thermistor and heating elsement as well as the fan.
Hot end does not have the fan, thermistor/heating element.

I wouldn’t jump just yet. I don’t know if they are just for other printers but there are hardened nozzles, pretty sure hardened extruder gears, maybe even other stuff.
Hopefully someone with experience chimes in and hope I’m not slowing you down too much. I’ve just seen mention but don’t remember the details since it hasn’t concerned me yet.

MZip is correct. I guess I just assumed
You will want the hardned extruder gears, and a hardned nozzle, as well as maybe having some PTFE tube on hand.
Abrasives will wear PTFE. I’d recommend feeding from the external spool, as that PTFE is easier to replace quickly.
The Complete Hotend Assembly - P1P is specially designed for the Bambu Lab P1P 3D Printers. The hardened steel nozzle (0.4mm/0.6mm/0.8mm*) is capable of printing engineering filaments like carbon fiber nylon, glass fiber nylon, etc.
Price: USD 34.99

That’s what I needed, thank you!

I would (did) buy at least one complete hotend, just for convenience and to have a spare fan, sock, thermistor and heater.
Compare the change procedures in the wiki:
With a complete unit, you remove two screws and three plugs and replace the entire assembly.
With just the hotend, you do the same steps plus disassemble/reassemble the sock, thermistor, heater, and thermal grease.
Complete assemblies allow quick swaps and can let you get back to printing quickly. Dealing with a bad heater/thermistor can be handled later.

The complete unit version of the hot-end is more disabled-friendly than just the hot-end parts.
Tremors do not make for good assistants during the replacement process.

You’ll also more than likely destroy the thermistor in the process, so I’d get spares if you’re planning to buy just the hotend to swop out.
