Upload in high quality fails

why do i get this message… the model was made in solidworks and they are not that big and it only takes 50grams… ? im confused here

The model’s size and the filament’s weight required to print it are unrelated to the issue.

Everything in 3D printing is about triangles, they make cubes and spheres and everything in between.

The failure message tells you that the complexity of your model is very detailed with far too many triangles.

Some of my models have many, many millions of triangles.

I do not use Solidworks, so I am unsure if there is an option to simplify it.

You can use the simplify option in Bambu Slicer.

  • Select the model
  • Right-click it
  • The third menu item is “Simplify Model.”

Be sure to check the results as it removes details.

Did you export an STL or STEP file from Solidworks?

decimate it in blender a couple time, studio can do it but not as good as other apps.

stl… doesnt change a thing a step file is actually lower quality when its imported in a slicer. better off with stl and make the mesh quality to the max

A step file is supposed to be a list of steps to create the model, that’s why BS asks you for the import parameters so that it can create a mesh from a step file.

thats something new it wasnt in there before. Still my stl files are higher quality then the actual step files themselves the way it converts it is not great. thanks for the suggestion tho

You may have set it once and clicked the “don’t show again” check box. you can reset it in the prefs. 2nd last one
