Use K factor from Auto-Calibration

Hello,

I ran the Auto-Calibration on my A1 in Bambu Studio under the Calibration tab for some filaments. I made sure to select the correct nozzle diameter, plate type, and three out of the four filaments in the AMS light. The calibration process took some time and provided Factor K values, all within a reasonable range (0.026–0.037). Following the recommendations on this page, I renamed the filaments by adding “dry” at the end of each name. After clicking “Finish,” a message confirmed that the values would be saved.

However, when I go to the Device tab and click the eye symbol, the Factor K values still show the old ones, not the newly calibrated ones. I know this for sure because I took a screenshot of the updated values. I’ve tried restarting both the printer and Bambu Studio, but the values remain unchanged.

I also checked the printer settings to see if I could manually edit the Factor K values directly on the printer, but it doesn’t allow modifications to the default values. In Bambu Studio’s Prepare tab, I found the edit button next to the filaments (the one that looks like a paper and pen), but there’s no option to input Factor K there either.

Does anyone know how to apply these new values and link them to the filaments?

From the device tab (sometimes I have to select the device twice, sometimes I even have to go to the calibration tab then back to the device tab and the interface here finally works).

Press the edit ‘eye’ icon on the filament color swatch:

Select a previously calibrated pressure advance (flow dynamics) value.

If you don’t have a calibration value for that filament on THAT device, then you will need to add it from the calibration tab Flow Dynamics>Manage Result> ‘NEW’ button.

Thank you for your response! Thanks to your suggestion, I discovered the cause of the issue. When I followed your advice, I encountered an error message stating, “This machine type can only hold 16 historical results per nozzle.” However, after deleting some old entries, everything worked fine. I suspect that profiles are usually added to this list automatically, but if the list is full, new entries can’t be added and are essentially lost. In my opinion, there should be an error message indicating this after the calibration is complete.

sry im it might be a stupid question… but, why bother with all that if the a1 auto calibration do it by itself ? any win to do it manualy ?

I was talking about the automatic calibration not a manual one.
