I order a Fysetc build plate for my new HED in order to printer at lower temperature. I’m not sure how to set it on Bambu Studio since i don’t see any way to create a preset for third parties build plate. Can you explain me how does it work?
FYSETC CryoNix? The plate has the bambu smooth plate code printed on it so you just use regular smooth PEI plate / Hi Temp plate preset but if you want to print at a lower plate temp, you will either have to set it manually or copy your filament preset to set a lower temp for the smooth plate.
Thank you for the answer. So i have to do new presets for every filament i use. That’s what i was “fearing”. i hope that at some point, Bambu Studio will implement a way to create presets for third parties build plates.
Do you want to save on your energy bill or just have a better plate. I have the BIQU Glacier and just print everything at bambu spec temp for the smooth plate.
I want to save on energy bill and not overheat my room with my 3D printer. So 35 degrees printing is a must have for me.
Which one did you buy for the H2D? They don’t seem to have one specifically for it. I’m concerned about the notches.
Here it is on the official BIQU site. It might be cheaper on Aliexpress or other sites though.
Just a heads up, the cryonix isn’t a real cold plate. You’ll want the Biqu frostbite or Kdeavi plu plate if you want to lower bed temps.

Agreed. The matte finish PLU plates are not really suitable for “low temperature printing”. If you really want to print at 35C, your best bet is KDEAVI or Frostbite.
CryoNix, Glacier, are more like “a slightly better grip than textured PEI but also better looking bottoms”.
I wouldn’t even call the cryonix or glacier a PLU plate. They’re basically clones of the old Bambu engineering plate, which is a thermoset coating. PLU or polyurea is an elastomeric coating and often used for garage floor coatings.
I actually have a pint of polyurea coating I was thinking about coating the cryonix plate with so I can have a smooth polyurea plate.
