Using LAN Only Mode

I’ve tried to use the LAN Only mode on my P1S several times since I got it, but it just won’t connect. I’m wondering whether it’s a setup problem on my nettwork or it just won’t work with my configuration.
I have a wireless router and can connect to it from the P1S.
My PC has a wired connection to the same router and everything works fine in cloud mode. But if I try to use LAN only mode I can’t get Bambu studio to connect using the IP address and access code. It tries and fails.
I’ve checked the firmware is up to date. I’ve tried forgetting the WIFI connection and re-connecting but nothing changes.

Is it supposed to work with this setup or not?
If it should, can anyone suggest what I should try next?

Be sure you are using the eight-character access code and not the six-digit PIN.

Studio continually “forgets” my LAN-only X1C, OrcaSlicer does not.

Thanks for the rapid response.
It’s just decided to work. No idea what changed, but I just sent a job to test it and it’s doing everything locally.
Orca Slicer is looking like a better option.
