Using smaller spools in the AMS

I purchased non Bambu Labs filament, and unknowingly it came on 13cm diameter spools. I was planning to print off a " rewind machine " I found on thingaverse but was wondering, has anyone printed large inserts to bring these small spools to 20 cm?

I used these adapters fro my small 3DJake 250g spools. Worked really well.

Thank you.

I will try these.

There is a Printables that just came out that is an entire replacement for the spool holder for the AMS - READ remove the BL spool holder assembly, replace with the one you print - that is set for both the larger spools and smaller ones. I caught it on a youtube venture. I’ll see if I can find it.

HA!

I’ve solved this with a simple solution:

This is the one that worked for me. As recommended, use brim, or slow it down. The big wheel one with two adapters didn’t fit any of my smaller spools. This one is clever and simple.

I Thank you. It is Just what I needed!!

I’ve been trying to use a variation of this (same adapter but has spots for 2 different smaller rolls) and it’s constantly jamming on me. It pushes the roll forward which is great, but when changing filaments it often “climbs” until it jams and I have to constantly go back and release it. I think something like the first link, as long as one of the many center adapters work for you, is a much better solution. It just doesn’t like smaller rolls. Period.
