Hey Guys,
maybe you can help me. While printing my A1 is making a scraping/vibrating sound. The belts are tight and nothing is loose. The sound started after a few prints. A new calibration makes no difference. This sound/behaviour leads to ringing. I recorded the sound and movement while printing. I opened the cover, because I wanted to see if something is rubbing against the frame. So far I didn’t see anything. The sound is most present at higher speeds, but is still noticeable at low speeds.

I have the same thing happening on parts that I’m printing.
If it were an X1C, and it’s only in infill areas, I’d suggest that the nozzle may be dragging on the infill. I do not know if that’s a thing on the A1 series. It only happens on grid infill, switching to another type makes it go away.
After a day of trial and error I think I found the solution.
I checked the belt on x and y. The belt on the y axis was very tight, too tight for my liking. So I disassembled the whole printer to loosen the belt. Sadly there is no easier way to do it. The belt tensioner is only for tightening the belt. It’s pressured with a spring in the bottom of the printer. If released the tensioner can be adjusted to loosen the belt as if you would change it. While reassembling the printer I noticed that one of the lead screws of the z axis had basically no grease on it. I could move the mount of the gantry up and down a bit and hear the song of metal on metal. The vibration of the printer and the not greased lead screw could lead to that sound. After emptying the grease, which came with the toolkit onto both lead screws the sound got much more quiet and the play in the mounting was reduced.
@lasermike Infill was not the problem this time. But I noticed the scraping sound on grid infill too. Since then I switched to gyroid. I also have the scraping sound of the nozzle when I use cubic infill.
@collingwoodcanoecomp Maybe my endeavour in the guts of the printer helps you
I have the same issue, this loud scraping/rattling sound. Seems to away when print speed is lowered to 50%!
Weirdly it only happens when printing in the middle.-
Have a see/hear:
My X1C makes a similar noise every now and then. I assume it’s hitting a resonance frequency if the diameter is just right. I don’t think it’s causing harm but it can be annoying.
bonjour le probleme vient surement du roulement , en effet j’ai visionné celui ci est il est mal concu il manque des billes
Try with this:

Anyway, it seems that the nozzle is rubbing against the infill when it’s working on the outer walls. It’s not the most optimal situation, but could you try changing the order to walls first and then infill to verify this?
I’m so angry this is an issue from the software, I’ve wasted so much material and time due to the parts coming off the plate. My daughter was the original person this printer was for and it’s been constant failures.
Has this done any damage to the actual printer as we’ve been running it like this for months?

Has there been a solution to this my A1 recently started doing after some updated to slicer im very new to 3d printing and im not sure what to do about it
Its the purge wiper. This thing is the cause. Just touch it when the head vibrates.
I’ll have to test this, if it is true I have wasted so much time worrying about nothing lol.
