I have a Bambu Lab x1 carbon. I have had it for 2 days. I have basic PLA material for it. All of my prints have failed. The print lifts off of the bed. I am using the cool plate. I put the supplied glue stick on it. I have tried one layer and two layers and 3 layers of glue stick. I am not familiar with the settings for PLA, but I have only used the factory recommended settings. The PLA is Bambu Lap PLA. Any suggestions on what to try?

What the others suggested clean the plate and possibly glue, some bed temperature helps. Notre that i had a bad Isopropyl which was causing complete detach . Some additives in certain brands of Isopropyl , since i got a new Isopropyl no issues

Have you calibrated the machine

And if all that fails try bambu support
If the filament is really wet may exhibit problems so try to dry it in the X1C overnight , but only after the first 3 options while waiting for support
Take the plate over to the kitchen area and wash it twice WITHOUT abrasives and using a non-fragranced mild dish soap, dry it completely, and try your print again. Let us know what happens

I am unsure if you have done all the preliminary procedures, so here is a summary of the critical ones. Do it calmly, and take your time to observe the details as you will benefit in future.
- Clean your build plate. Gently wash it with mild water and dish soap; avoid touching it with your hands after cleaning. I use absorbent paper to hold it and let it dry on its own;
- A single thin glue layer - there are many techniques, and I am no expert on this, as I hate it. A simpler one is to start with one uniform passage on the lateral; afterwards, perpendicular lines, uniformly and gently spread - avoid double layers - your objective is to get a thin layer of glue between the print and bed sheet;
- Using new Bambu Lab official PLA spools is not mandatory, but drying your filament is usually crucial. If it continues failing, this will be the next step. Store your filament correctly; otherwise, you will start to get problems shortly.
Now for the printer:
- update the printer firmware to the latest version;
- Run the printer calibration - even if you already did it;
- After this, print the fast benchy included in the printer, using the Bambu Labs official PLA filament, and record it; if it fails, please share the video and print pictures so we can identify the problem.
DO NOT print the fast benchy as it does not print correctly with the newest firmware update. There have been a few posts about this. Do firmware update and factory reset and then calibrate again, that should sort it.
My cool plate was defective on delivery. I was never able to get a single print to stick to it. My X1C came with additional replacement stickers and once I replaced the original it worked fine after that.
As NicePrintTiger says there is a know bug in the default models on the machine in firmware version 1.06.01. You need to either upgrade to 1.06.03 or only print from the software.
I wasn’t aware of that. Mine still works with the latest firmware (01.06.03.00).
The goal should be a thin even coat of glue, and clean it thoroughly in between attempts with isopropyl alcohol and paper towels. It worked for me on the cold plate, but I only did 1 print like this then changed to PEI. Glue is messy, time consuming, and variable, and PLA does fine on PEI with no glue at all. I ordered the “textured PEI plate” for just this reason, and have been printing PLA on it with no issues. Prints separate super easily, and leave zero residue, so there is nothing that needs to be applied and nothing that needs to be cleaned up. So this is one recommendation.
I notice Bambu sells two “textured PEI” plates, the black-colored one has 0.4mm thick steel, and the gold colored one has 0.5mm thick steel. Both have 0.075mm PEI coating on both sides. The black one is on sale currently, I don’t know if that means it is being discontinued. I am printing on the gold-colored one, and it is fantastic how little effort it requires, and how well it works.
