Very poor slicing - First layer is full of gaps - What can I do?

Hey everyone,

Why is Bambu Studio slicing so badly…?

All marked gaps have been translated to my prints. They look bad! Very bad!!
…and the worst of all… My little Ender 3 did this flawlessly.

The lines are between 1.7 & 2.0mm thick, so definitely enough for a 4mm nozzle.

I just don’t know what to do anymore… I have again wasted one entire day without any success and I’m starting to get a little annoyed with Bambu…

It’s just a matter of slicer settings. I’m not an expert by any means but first thing I’d try is Arachne wall generator. As it’s seen in the preview you can just try different settings and see what it looks like without going through the time and plastic waste of printing every iteration.

BTW if you spent an entire day, what DID you try that didn’t help?

The entire day so to speak, I’ve been tinkering for at least 7 hours… and printing another 4 with the shown result. I did a manual flow and PA calibration for the PETG I’m using and that made thinks a little better, but still not enough.

I then figured that all those holes match exactly with the ones on the print (I thought the material would fill those gaps) After several alterations in BBStudio with different first layer styles and alternating my design I was out of ideas.

I just activated Arachne (something I did not try yet) and from what I can tell, all holes are closed now (at least in the preview) I’ll make a test-print tomorrow to check if that was all it needed… It looks very promising but I don’t want to be too early for the party. I’ll let you know - Many thx @the_Raz
