I have recently tried printing with Voxel PETG+ after only previously using PLA. The prints are coming out mostly fine but with a few small issues. I am seeing globing and stringing in certain areas and when the print is finished quite a bit of filament continues to ooze out of the nozzle.
I have tried adjusting retraction speed, retraction distance, nozzle temperature and flow rate but still can’t get consistently good results. On the voxel PLA website it suggests using the bambulab PETG HF preset and raising the nozzle temp to 265C. I wanted to use bambulab PETG but they were out of stock last time I ordered. Is anyone using Voxel PETG+, if so what settings seem to work well for you.

I have not used the Voxel PETG myself but there are a number of general PETG rules that I follow:
- The first rule of PETG is, we dry PETG.
- See rule 1.
- Failure to comply with rule 1. is punishable by stringing, oozing, sagging, globbing, warping, curling and “blobs of death”
- PETG bonds pretty well, except to PLA: Really scrub the build plate (water, dishwashing liquid, clean and stiff brush). Also usable to your advantage as an interface layer.
- PETG loves to stick to the nozzle: Avoid crossing infills and surfaces. I usually use monotonic lines and honeycomb. But that is just me.
- I always enable “wipe on retract” with PETG
- PETG rewards going slow (also on accel’s for fine detail)
- Remember rule #1.?

Can you post the print result? I can take a look at it.
Here are a few pictures of what the build plate looked like after the print, and the residual filament left on the nozzle after printing.
I’ve also had issues with the Voxel PETG, same printer and nozzle. Even after drying, at 265C with the PETG HF profile it’s had slight under extrusion, with the top layer lines not quite touching in the center of the part, but being overextruded at the edges where the lines terminate, creating a raised/rough surface at the edges of the part. I tried adjusting various settings but I haven’t been able to get it to improve.
Is there a brand that you have had good luck with?
Unfortunately only Bambu PETG HF. All other brands haven’t worked quite as well. Creality CR-PETG does alright. SUNLU PETG hasn’t been great and isn’t as dimensionally accurate for some reason and the built in profile had the bed temperature too low so prints weren’t adhering.
