For what it’s worth, I’ve had a very frustrating experience with Voxel. Here is the long story.
I ordered a Vento filter and replacement filters on November 25 to Canada. I paid for UPS international shipping and received an email receipt with an “Estimated delivery Friday, Nov 28–Monday, Dec 1.”
My credit card was charged that day, so they have my money.
I checked the following week on my order as I had not received a shipping notification; it hadn’t even shipped yet. When I inquired via website chat, I was told they had been “off for the Thanksgiving Day week” since my order was placed. A product provider taking the week of Black Friday off? OK. I was told it would ship the next day.
When I checked again another week later, I noted that it both hadn’t shipped and that the shipping method was USPS, not UPS (a difference of weeks in shipping). I paid for UPS, not USPS.
I went to the online chat again. This time I was told that there was a production problem with the Vento and shipping would be delayed. Two weeks since I ordered and this was the first that I had heard about it. Also, that the USPS was an error that would be fixed to UPS. They said it would ship the next week.
OK, I checked in the next week and it still hadn’t shipped. I was confidently told that it would ship on December 18th. I asked if they could use a faster shipping method (hoping for 2-day FedEx given that we were approaching a month since I ordered and they had had my money the whole time). They said they would upgrade me to “UPS.” I already paid for UPS! After apologizing for not fixing this error and the delay, they said it would ship UPS Expedited (1 to 3 day service) when it shipped on the 18th.
December 18th came and went—nothing. I sent a follow-up email and they said that the order was going out Monday (December 22) and “please let us know if the time frame works for you.” Do I have a choice?
Now Wednesday, December 24—the package has not shipped. I sent them an email and they said “Yes, the package has shipped yesterday, and it will arrive by the end of the week or early next week.” I don’t believe them. I asked for a tracking number and they said “Sometimes, the post office is a bit delayed with the update. Please give them 24-48 hours to update the system.” I mentioned that the package is not supposed to be USPS, but rather UPS Expedited. They apologized for “the confusion” and gave me a UPS tracking number—for a label that has been created and a package that has not shipped yet. And of course the label is for standard UPS service, not Expedited like they said it would be.
With an original delivery date of December 1st, it is now December 24th and the package hasn’t shipped. I normally wouldn’t care so much, but they took my money day one. I feel that reputable sellers take payment when the product ships and not before.
The product I ordered is for hobby purposes, but the printer is in my home office and the filter for my new printer is definitely wanted. However, if I had a business that relied on their products, I wouldn’t go anywhere near these guys.
