It would be handy with a splitter that has an input from for example AMS, and two outputs, one for each nozzle inlet on the back of the H2D. A switch on the splitter would guide the filament to the wanted output tube, that eventually leads to the left or right nozzle. Does this exist ? If not, anyone up for the task ?
Its not that hard to pull the tube and reinsert it but if you insist…
Just what I was looking for thanks!
When it was announced that the H2D would have two hotends, I really believed there would be an AMS Hub 2, designed to automatically access all filaments in the AMS chain (filament compatibility aside).
Unfortunately, BL didn’t implement this feature.
It’s a real shame.
could it be designed?
yes
could it be done reliably?
probably
could it be implemented reliably at a reasonable price?
that’s the question.
They have a patent for a dual output AMS hub with a simple solenoid to adjust the path, but i guess they decided to skip it. Or perhaps we will see it in the future, plugged into one of the available 4 pin ports on the back.
That’s right, I had completely forgotten about that.
Let’s wait and see.
