Warning message

when loading a 3mf file,I get this message:

this file contains several objects positioned at multiple heights. Instead of consider them at multiple objects, should the file be loaded as a single object having multiple parts.

Anyone know what this means and what needs to be modified?

Thanks.

It just means you’re importing a multi-part assembly and all packaged together they won’t sit properly on the build plate.

Click yes to the popup about loading as single obj with multiple parts and all the parts will fall down to the build plate(s). But they won’t be oriented properly so just use the auto-orient button to get them laying down properly, verify they end up with the proper side down.

I don’t think I even see what was moved. So auto-correct won’t get back to the original?

Thanks.

It starts out as one piece when selected but then you should have the menu option to split it to objects / parts:

Click that and it will break it down, that is when parts will fall from the height they are bound at, but it will still all be selected so just deselect all and then you will be able to manipulate individual objects / parts.
