Honestly, if you are not having issues don’t look for them I’m pretty certain 99% of beds aren’t flat but the bed levelling seems to manage quite well. This is NOT a Creality machine, you don’t have to constantly touch it to keep it working.
That’s why I am asking, since I printed almost full-plate size and all corners lift up badly. SO I was wondering what is wrong, and wanted to evaluate if a warped bed is the reason.
Any hints for me how to check this?
As GenericUser said, if you aren’t confronted with the warped bed issue, you don’t really need to be looking for trouble. Here, the old adagio about “if it ain’t broken, don’t fix it” does apply.
One way would be to get a flat edge steel rule and check for clearance with the bed heated stable at 60c. You’re always going to get a tolerance, but you’ll need to check with Bambu Support how much the going rate is.
My suggestion is to chase why your print is warping, my guess is its not the plate (although cleanliness/adhesion may be a big factor). For that, you’ll need to supply lots more information. Model, plate, temperatures, material used, brims, etc.
Ask Bambulab support. They will see if it is out of specs. Mine was badly warped (1mm) and they immediately sent me a new bed.
It took me 3h however to install, so I would only do it if it is needed.
How did you determine it was warped
Just take something straight, a ruler for example, and place it in both directions on the print bed. You will immediately see if it is warped. I would probably accept 0.3mm, but not more.
You can measure in cold state and hot (heatbed @50-100 degrees C).
If the corners are lifting off the plate, or the plate is lifting off the bed, the problem is not a warped bed.
Warped beds were a major problem with printers produced in the first half of 2023, but they are very rare since then. Prints and plates did not lift from a warped bed, and the automatic “leveling” maintained proper layer thickness, but the print followed the curve of the bed, and would not sit flat on a flat surface.
I posted my measurement method in a very long thread at the time: Warped bed :( seems like a common QC issue - #1375 by lkraus, but there are other methods mentioned in that lengthy thread.
