Hi everyone,
I’ve been 3D printing for about 2 months now. After successful runs with PLA, PETG, and TPU 85A, I decided to tackle ASA. However, I’ve run into a “warping boss battle” that I’m determined to win. I’m using a Bambu Lab P2S with a Textured PEI Plate.
The Progression of the Issue:
- Initial Attempt: Used generic ASA settings. Corners lifted, causing the nozzle to scrape the upper layers.

Second Attempt: I suspected low bed adhesion and low chamber temp. I used liquid bed adhesive, added a brim with “mouse ears,” and waited for the chamber to reach 50°C. The adhesion was so strong that the print didn’t peel off the plate—instead, the cooling ASA pulled the entire magnetic PEI sheet up off the heatbed.

Third Attempt: I printed some bed clamps to keep the PEI sheet secured to the heatbed.
- Fourth Attempt: I bumped the chamber temp to 60°C and lowered the printing speed. The first 10 layers looked great, but then the corners started shrinking/warping inward over the next 20 layers before stabilizing for the rest of the print.
My Setup & Settings:

Printer: Bambu Lab P2S.

Settings: Started with “Generic ASA” profile, adjusted based on manufacturer specs.

Cooling: Tried everything from fans completely OFF to various layer time settings to maintain consistent heat.

Filament: It is a local brand, but it has been properly dried.

Infill density is about %20 and gyroid, wall count is 2.
My Questions:

Is it possible that the internal stress is caused by the filament quality itself?

Even with bed clamps and a 60°C chamber, I’m seeing “mid-print” warping. Has anyone experienced the part pulling itself inward like this?

Are there any specific Bambu Studio settings (like “Draft Shield” or specific infill patterns) that you’ve found crucial for large ASA parts?
