Warranty coverage for printers bought from other than Bambu

I’m looking to buy an H2S as a second printer to my H2D. I found that Best Buy here locally sells them at the same price as Bambu online so price isn’t an issue other than they have free shipping so there’s that.

My question is, if I have any issues with the printer will I still be able to open support tickets with Bambu? Or will I be left holding the bag for any defective parts?

Thanks.

I bought my H2C from a vendor in Canada and when I had 2 fan failures, I opened a ticket with BL. They assessed the information I sent them and determined that the fans needed to be replaced. They asked for additional detail and when going through the steps on their website, this is when I encountered the section that stated:

Reseller Purchase

If the product has been purchased from an authorized reseller (please follow this link for a complete list) we strongly recommend contacting them for service.
We can provide technical support for troubleshooting issues, but if part replacements are required to be provided under warranty, the authorized reseller is responsible to provide them.

I went to my retailer with the information from BL that the fans needed to be replaced and they provided new fans. Even after I connected back with BL support to let them know I would reach out to the vendor, they asked me to provide them with an update as to the success of the replacement fans.

BL response time was prompt and I was happy with the support I received both from BL and my local vendor.

Thanks, according to the list Best Buy is on the list. Tho I’m concerned that adding another step in the process will add yet more delays in a process that already takes too long. Not sure I’m willing to roll the dice at this point.

Completely get where you are coming from.

For me, the local vendor I purchased from is a smaller specialty 3D printing retailer that has a stellar reputation and I was able to inspect the box for damage before I took possession of the printer. They actually offered to swap out the printer with another one they had in stock when I alerted them to the fan defects, but I opted just to replace the fans.

I ended up having to wait a little longer for the unit to come into stock locally than If I had purchased directly from Bambu Lab Canada, but not having to roll the shipping dice (and saving shipping fees) was worth it for me.

Good luck with whatever direction you go.
